Vietnamese jasmine tea wholesale: scenting, grades and how to order

05/11/2026

Trà Hoa Nhài (Jasmine Green Tea) from our cooperative is made from bud and needle grade leaf, hand-picked in our La Bang gardens in Thai Nguyen, northern Vietnam, and scented with fresh, hand-picked jasmine blossom. Our artisans layer the blossom with the tea so the flower lifts the tea rather than covering it: in the cup the jasmine comes first, then a soft, sweet green tea body underneath. We supply it in bulk and in retail packing, with quantities set against each season’s production. This guide explains how scented jasmine tea is made, what to check in a wholesale sample and how to order.

How scented jasmine tea is made

Scented tea is made by putting finished tea together with fresh flowers, so the dry leaf takes up the aroma the blossoms release, and then separating the spent flowers from the tea. The quality depends on two things: the tea underneath and the care taken with the flowers. With a low base tea, jasmine can hide a thin or rough cup. That is why we use bud and needle grade leaf as the base. The goal is a cup where you smell the jasmine first and still taste the green tea after it.

When you compare jasmine teas from different suppliers, ask what the base tea is and how it is scented. Scenting with real blossom and adding flavouring are different processes, and your market’s labelling rules may treat them differently, so ask each supplier for an ingredient statement.

Who buys jasmine tea wholesale

  • Tea shops and retailers who want a Vietnamese jasmine tea next to green and black teas in their range.
  • Restaurants and hotels serving jasmine tea with meals, where a clean, steady aroma matters more than a strong one.
  • Gift and private label brands, who can pack it under their own name; see private label tea in 7 steps.

What to check in a wholesale sample

  1. Aroma, hot and cooling. Smell the cup straight after brewing and again as it cools. A good scented tea keeps its jasmine as it cools rather than fading to a flat or perfume-like note.
  2. The tea under the flower. Taste for the green tea body after the aroma. If there is nothing behind the jasmine, the base tea is thin.
  3. Second and third infusions. Scented tea should still carry aroma on the second infusion.
  4. Dry leaf. Look for even leaf and few loose flower fragments, unless your customers want visible petals.

Our guide on how to request and evaluate a tea sample covers the method; the product page gives our recommended brewing starting point.

Supply, lots and documents

Because the base tea and the blossom both depend on the season, the quantity available is confirmed against each season’s production rather than a fixed table. Tell us the volume and packing you need, and plan ahead using our harvest calendar. For minimums and lead times on stock tea, see MOQ, price tiers and lead times.

The base tea is processed at our La Bang facility, which holds ISO 22000:2018 food safety management certification. For a formal export order we provide the standard document set; see export documents for Vietnamese tea. We do not describe this tea as organic.

Taste our Jasmine Green Tea. Importers can request a sample of Jasmine Green Tea, alongside Traditional Northern Green Tea or Special Green Tea, through our Contact page, or message our export team on Zalo/WhatsApp at +84 855 318 678. Tell us how you will sell it and the volume you expect.
