About TRAVINA — Tam Tra Viet Cooperative

A journey of clean tea, of trust and happiness

01Set on the eastern slopes of the Tam Dao range, nourished by water from Nui Coc Lake, across rolling hills of tea.
02Drawing on every drop of night dew and morning mist, together with the careful tending of the farmers, the tea bushes grow full of life and have built the name of Thai Nguyen, Vietnam’s foremost tea region.
03Growing on gentle hillsides and drawing minerals from the soil, the native tea bush looks unassuming yet is full of vitality. After picking, the buds go through careful hand sorting and a meticulous, distinctive process that produces a fragrant tea.
04Being the “foremost tea region” brings not only renown to Thai Nguyen but a better life for the people here — less poverty, and a calm, simple way of living — because every tea we make brings together local heritage, the essence of nature, and the care of the people who make it.

The people behind TRAVINA

A cooperative is only as strong as the people running it. These are the people you deal with when you write to us, and the people whose names sit behind every lot that leaves the workshop in Dai Tu.

What we can show you on paper

Every claim on this site is backed by a document you can look at. The certificates are published in full on our home page: VietGAP for fresh tea bud, ISO 22000:2018 for the food safety management system, the district food safety licence, an independent laboratory report, and our registered TRAVINA trademark. Awards from VATAP and VIPA are shown the same way, as scans rather than logos.

Judged by other tea makers

Thai Nguyen runs a provincial tea processing contest every December, where teams work fresh leaf side by side in front of judges. Our artisans competed for La Bang commune at the 2025 contest and took second prize. It is a small competition by world standards, but the people scoring it make tea for a living in the same province, which is the verdict we care about.

Shown at the national farmers’ congress

In June 2026 TRAVINA was among the producers invited to the exhibition of representative agricultural products held alongside the 9th National Congress of the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi on 7 and 8 June, with 600 delegates from every province. Our full range was on the table, open for tasting.

Where to go next

See where the leaf is grown and how the factory is laid out, read how a clean tea is actually made, or browse the full range by grade. If you would rather see it in person, we host visitors at the gardens and the tasting is free.
