FOUNDER
Mr Do Huu Thuan
Founder & Chairman
Ms Nguyen Thi Thu Thao
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
I have always wanted not only to build a Vietnamese tea brand that can reach international markets but also to build an ecosystem that is tea cooperative sustainable, with safe, Six No production.
Thu Thao runs the cooperative day to day: production planning, quality checks before a lot is released, and every order that goes out of the workshop.

The people behind TRAVINA
A cooperative is only as strong as the people running it. These are the people you deal with when you write to us, and the people whose names sit behind every lot that leaves the workshop in Dai Tu.

TRAVINA at a glance

- 90 member households farming 40.5 hectares across two sites, Dai Tu and La Bang
- About 120 tonnes of dry tea a year, produced in batches of roughly 10 tonnes a month
- 10 to 15 people on the processing floor, working to a written procedure at every stage
- 62% of the growing households are from ethnic minority communities
- A family trade in tea that goes back to 1960
What we can show you on paper
Every claim on this site is backed by a document you can look at. The certificates are published in full on our home page: VietGAP for fresh tea bud, ISO 22000:2018 for the food safety management system, the district food safety licence, an independent laboratory report, and our registered TRAVINA trademark. Awards from VATAP and VIPA are shown the same way, as scans rather than logos.
A registered cooperative, on paper
TRAVINA is the brand of Tam Tra Viet Cooperative, registered in Viet Nam under number 4601620037 on 5 July 2024, with a charter capital of two billion dong. The registration is published below as issued; only the legal representative’s personal identity numbers are covered.

Judged by other tea makers
Thai Nguyen runs a provincial tea processing contest every December, where teams work fresh leaf side by side in front of judges. Our artisans competed for La Bang commune at the 2025 contest and took second prize. It is a small competition by world standards, but the people scoring it make tea for a living in the same province, which is the verdict we care about.

Shown at the national farmers’ congress
In June 2026 TRAVINA was among the producers invited to the exhibition of representative agricultural products held alongside the 9th National Congress of the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union, at the National Convention Center in Hanoi on 7 and 8 June, with 600 delegates from every province. Our full range was on the table, open for tasting.

Where to go next
See where the leaf is grown and how the factory is laid out, read how a clean tea is actually made, or browse the full range by grade. If you would rather see it in person, we host visitors at the gardens and the tasting is free.
Two longer reads: what makes a Thai Nguyen green tea both clean and sweet, and the story of how the cooperative was built.
