Buyers ask us the same question in every first email: what can you prove? This page is the answer. Every licence, certificate and award TRAVINA holds is reproduced below as a scan of the paper itself, with its number, its issuing body and its expiry date. Nothing here is a logo we bought or a claim we cannot show you.
Every certificate at a glance
Six documents, with the numbers on them. The licences, certificates and test reports are issued to Hop tac xa Tam Tra Viet, cooperative registration No. 4601620037 — the legal entity behind the TRAVINA brand. The trademark is the one exception: it is registered to Do Huu Thuan, the cooperative’s founder and chairman of its management board, and the cooperative uses the mark on the tea it produces. Scans of all six are further down this page, and each one opens full size when you click it.

Awards are listed separately, further down. They are recognition, not conformity assessment, and we do not mix the two.
Who we are, legally
TRAVINA is the brand of Tam Tra Viet Cooperative, registered in Viet Nam under number 4601620037 on 5 July 2024. We are a producer cooperative, not a trading house: the members who own it are the households who grow the leaf.

Since 25 November 2025 the cooperative has also held a registered business location in Hanoi. That office is the address buyers write to, and it is registered to the same cooperative, not to a separate company.

How the leaf is grown
VietGAP, certificate No. DVCL-VG-TT-24-19-68
Issued on 7 November 2024 under national standard TCVN 11892-1:2017 by the Thai Nguyen Centre for Technical Services and Quality Training in Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. It certifies 17 member households across 9.7 hectares at our second site, and records a registered output of 126 tonnes of fresh leaf a year from that area.
We state this figure separately from our total scale on purpose. The cooperative farms 40.5 hectares with 90 member households; the VietGAP certificate covers the 9.7 hectares inside that total which have completed certification. The rest is farmed to the same rules and is being prepared for assessment. Anyone who tells you their whole area is certified should be able to show you a certificate that says so.

The Che Thai Nguyen collective mark
“Che Thai Nguyen” is a collective mark owned by the Thai Nguyen Farmers’ Union and protected in six countries. Producers do not simply use it; they are licensed to, and the licence is reviewed. Decision No. 41-QD/BQLNHTT of 9 September 2025 grants that right to TRAVINA – Tam Tra Viet Cooperative for three years, over 40.5 hectares and a registered output of 120 tonnes of dry tea a year.
Those two numbers — 40.5 hectares and 120 tonnes of dry tea — are the figures we quote everywhere on this site, because they are the figures on the decision.

How the tea is made
ISO 22000:2018, certificate No. GOODVN91025.FSMS
Our food safety management system was assessed by GOOD Viet Nam and certified on 20 October 2025, valid to 19 October 2028, under accreditation VICAS 087-FSMS with IAF recognition. The scope covers processing and trading of green tea, black tea, matcha, lotus tea, white tea and oolong — that is, every category we sell. The certificate is bilingual, Vietnamese and English, so you can read it without a translator.

Food safety licence No. 14/2025/UBND-NNMT-TNg
Issued by the Chairman of Dai Tu district on 20 June 2025 and valid to 19 June 2028, for the processing and trading of green tea. This is the licence that lets us operate a food business at all.

Independent laboratory testing
Certificates describe a system. A test report describes a sample. Ours is tested at NATEK Laboratory Centre, accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and commissioned through the Dai Tu district agriculture and environment office. We can run a test on your specific lot before shipment if your market requires it — tell us the parameters and we will quote for it.

Independent residue test, VILAS 1098 laboratory
Test report No. 78102025/KQKN, issued to TRAVINA – Tam Tra Viet Cooperative by the Centre for Technical Service and Professions Training in Agro-Forestry-Fishery Quality, Thai Nguyen — a laboratory accredited to VILAS 1098 and recognised under the ILAC mutual recognition arrangement. Sample: Dinh tea (tra dinh, the bud grade), sample code CK35.10.25, received and analysed on 24 October 2025.
Ten pesticides were screened by method PP07 at a limit of detection of 10 µg/kg — methidathion, chlorpyrifos, alpha- and beta-endosulfan, cis- and trans-permethrin, deltamethrin, cypermethrin, fenpropathrin and bifenthrin. Every one came back KPH — not detected. Four heavy metals were measured on the same sheet: lead 0.095 mg/kg, cadmium 0.16 mg/kg, arsenic 0.13 mg/kg, mercury not detected. Quality figures: total polyphenols 15.7%, total catechins 13.5%, catechin to polyphenol ratio 0.86, water extract 50%, crude fibre 12%, acid-insoluble ash 0.30%, foreign matter not detected.

The brand itself
The TRAVINA mark is registered in Viet Nam under certificate No. 542996, granted by the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam on 5 May 2025 in class 30 and in force to 28 August 2033. The certificate is held in the name of Do Huu Thuan, founder of TRAVINA and chairman of the cooperative’s management board; Tam Tra Viet Cooperative uses the mark on the tea it produces. If you distribute our tea, you are distributing a registered mark, not an unprotected name.

Recognition, with the paperwork attached
We list awards sparingly and always with the certificate, because an award without a document is just a picture of a trophy.
Top 10 Leading Trusted Brands of Viet Nam 2025, beverages category — awarded by the Vietnam Intellectual Property Association in Hanoi on 28 December 2025.

High Quality Product and Service Favoured by Consumers 2024 — decision No. 68/VPHH of the Vietnam Association for Anti-Counterfeiting and Trademark Protection, presented in Hanoi on 29 November 2024.

Second prize, Golden Hands tea processing contest 2025 — our artisans competed for La Bang commune at the provincial contest held during the Thai Nguyen tea festival, under decision 1338/QD-SNNMT of 20 December 2025. This one matters to us more than it probably should: the judges make tea for a living in the same province.

Tea Masters Cup Vietnam 2025 — TRAVINA took part through Pham Hoang Giang, the artisan who fires our tea, in the tea preparation round. We list this as participation, not as a prize: there is no certificate to attach, and competing in a tasting contest says nothing about how the tea was farmed. What it does show is that the tea on the judging table was the same 6 Không clean tea we sell.

Tea Masters Cup Viet Nam 2025 — our artisan Pham Hoang Giang competed at the national championship held at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre in Hanoi, 12–15 November 2025. The certificate below confirms participation as a contestant; it is not a placing, and we do not present it as one.

The Than Nong tea offering, Bac Ninh, 4 March 2026 — Than Nong is honoured in Viet Nam as the forefather of tea. Once a year the established tea makers travel to the shrine to offer incense, to remember the people who worked the gardens before them, and afterwards to spend the day talking tea with makers who have been at it a good deal longer than they have. Pham Hoang Giang went on behalf of the cooperative, to the first Journey to the Source of Vietnamese Tea.
We list it under recognition rather than under certification, because that is what it is: an invitation, and the company a tea maker keeps. Neither replaces a test report. Both are worth knowing about a supplier.

What we do not claim
We are not certified organic. Our gardens are farmed to what we call the 6 Không rule — no herbicide, no chemical pesticide, no chemical fertiliser, no growth regulator, no added flavouring, no preservative — and that is a production commitment we hold ourselves to, not a certification issued by anyone. We say so plainly rather than let the word “clean” do the work.
We also make no health claims. Tea is an everyday drink; what we can tell you is how it was grown and made.
Beyond organic, these are the limits of what we hold today, stated plainly so that nothing surprises you at audit:
- We do not currently hold EU organic, USDA Organic, JAS, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade, HALAL or KOSHER certification.
- ISO 22000:2018 covers the La Bang facility only, not the Dai Tu facility. Ask us which site made your lot and we will tell you.
- We do not use any OCOP star rating for our products on this website or in our export materials.
- We are not registered with China’s GACC (CIFER) or the US FDA in our own name. For those two markets we work through your importer, and we will tell you honestly what that means for your timeline.
Where there is a real prospect of working together, we are willing to go through the certification your market requires — not “we will consider it”, but the actual process, provided the volume and time horizon make that investment sensible for both sides.
Verify every document yourself
You should not have to take a supplier’s word for a certificate, and you do not have to take ours. Every document on this page names an issuing body that can confirm it independently. Here is where to look, and what the answer should say.
- The cooperative itself — registration No. 4601620037 is on the National Business Registration Portal at dangkykinhdoanh.gov.vn. The name that comes back is Hop tac xa Tam Tra Viet. TRAVINA is that cooperative’s brand, not a separate trading company.
- The TRAVINA trademark — No. 542996 is in the register of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam at ipvietnam.gov.vn and in WIPO’s Global Brand Database at branddb.wipo.int. Search the number, not the name.
- ISO 22000:2018 — the certificate was issued by GOOD Viet Nam under accreditation VICAS 087-FSMS. Accreditation status is held by the Bureau of Accreditation at boa.gov.vn, and the certification body will confirm a client certificate on request.
- The residue test report — report No. 3282025/KQKN came from a laboratory accredited under VILAS 1098, also listed by the Bureau of Accreditation. Ask the laboratory to confirm the report number and the sample code, CK05.8.25.
- VietGAP — certificate No. DVCL-VG-TT-24-19-68 was issued by the Centre for Technical Service and Professions Training in Agro-Forestry-Fishery Quality, Thai Nguyen. Ask them for the holder name and the certified area; the answer should be Hop tac xa Tam Tra Viet and 9.7 hectares, not our full farmed area.
If any issuer gives you an answer that does not match what is written on this page, we want to know before you do anything else. Write to our export desk and we will resolve it in writing.
From plot to lot: what we can trace, and how far
A certificate covers a system; a lot code covers your shipment. Both VietGAP and ISO 22000:2018 require records that connect the two, and those records are the part a buyer actually uses when a question comes up eighteen months later.
Every batch we withdraw from the factory carries a lot code. Against that code we hold the harvest dates and the member households the fresh leaf came from, the withering and pan-firing records for that batch, the rolling and drying times, the moisture reading at packing, and the packing date and pack sizes. Where a residue test was run on that batch, the report number sits in the same file. Ask for the lot record with your order and we will send it as a PDF with the shipment, not months afterwards.
Two honest limits. Our leaf is bought from member households, so a lot traces to a named group of households and their plots, not to a single row of bushes. And where a lot blends leaf from more than one picking day, the record names every day in the blend rather than pretending it was one.
The document pack that travels with an export order
Nothing on this page has to be requested twice. For an export order we prepare, at no charge beyond any official fee:
- Commercial invoice and packing list, with the lot codes shown per carton.
- Bilingual copies of the ISO 22000:2018 certificate, the VietGAP certificate, the food safety licence and the collective mark decision.
- The residue and quality test report for the lot, or for the most recent lot of the same grade if you do not need a fresh one.
- Certificate of origin, arranged through the issuing authority in the form your customs office asks for.
- Phytosanitary certificate and health certificate, arranged with the competent Vietnamese authority when your market requires them.
- A letter of authorisation to use the TRAVINA mark, if you are appointed as a distributor.
- Consular legalisation of any of the above, where your market asks for it.
Specifications, artwork files and pack-size options sit with the product range rather than here, so this page stays a paperwork page.
How this paperwork meets your market’s rules
Import compliance is the importer’s duty, not the grower’s — but almost all of the evidence has to come from the grower, and getting it late is what holds containers at a border. Here is how what we hold maps onto the regimes buyers ask us about.
European Union and United Kingdom. Residues in tea are governed by the maximum residue levels set under Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, contaminants by Regulation (EU) 2023/915, and border checks by the official controls regulation, Regulation (EU) 2017/625. Our VILAS 1098 report screens the pyrethroid and organophosphate group that controls on tea concentrate on, and reports lead and cadmium on the same sheet. If your buyer works to a wider panel, send us the list and we will commission it against your list before shipment rather than after arrival.
United States. The importer carries the Foreign Supplier Verification Program duty, and a reviewer asks for the same four things every time: who the supplier legally is, what hazard controls exist, evidence that those controls are audited by someone independent, and lot-level results. That is this page, the ISO 22000:2018 scope, the certification body’s accreditation, and the test report. We will fill in your own supplier questionnaire rather than sending you ours, and we will confirm in writing what is needed from our side for your prior-notice filing before you book the freight.
Japan, Korea and the Gulf. These markets work from positive lists, and from halal or consular attestation, rather than from any single certificate. Send us the specification your importer works to and we will tell you plainly which lines we already meet, which we can meet with a further test, and which we cannot meet at all.
We would rather lose an order than be the reason a container is detained. If something on your list sits outside what we hold, you will read that in our first reply, not discover it at the port.
Come and audit us
Paper is where a supplier relationship starts, not where it should end. The gardens and the factory are open to buyers and to third-party auditors, in picking season when there is something to watch and outside it when there is time to talk. Bring your own auditor if you prefer; we do not ask to see the report first. The visit page explains how a day is put together, and the origin and factory page shows the layout you would be walking through.
Questions buyers ask
Are TRAVINA teas certified organic?
No, and we will not let the word do any work for us. We hold VietGAP, which is a good agricultural practice certification, not an organic one. Our own 6 Không rule — no herbicide, no chemical pesticide, no chemical fertiliser, no growth regulator, no added flavouring, no preservative — is a production commitment we hold ourselves to and can show you records for, not a certification any body has issued to us.
Does the VietGAP certificate cover your whole growing area?
No. It covers 9.7 hectares farmed by 17 member households at our second site. The cooperative farms 40.5 hectares with 90 households in total, so roughly a quarter of our area is inside the certificate today. The rest is farmed to the same rules and is being prepared for assessment, and we would rather say that than round it up.
Who legally holds these certificates?
Every one of them is issued to Hop tac xa Tam Tra Viet, cooperative registration No. 4601620037. TRAVINA is that cooperative’s brand and its registered trademark, No. 542996. There is no separate trading company in between, so the entity on the certificate is the entity that signs your contract and ships your order.
Can you test my specific lot before it ships?
Yes. We use an accredited laboratory under VILAS 1098 and can commission a test on the exact lot reserved for you, to the parameter list your market or your buyer specifies. Tell us the panel and the deadline and we will quote the cost and the turnaround before you commit to the order.
What happens when a certificate reaches its expiry date?
Our VietGAP certificate runs to 6 November 2026 and goes through reassessment before that date; the ISO 22000:2018 certificate runs to 19 October 2028 with annual surveillance audits in between. When a document is renewed we replace the scan on this page and update the date in the table above, so what you see here is the paper we currently hold rather than the paper we once held.
Do your awards mean the tea has been audited?
No, and we keep them in a separate part of this page for that reason. An award is recognition by an association or a competition jury; a certificate is the outcome of an audit against a published standard. Judge us on the certificates and read the awards as what they are.
Can you arrange a certificate of origin and a phytosanitary certificate?
Yes, both, through the competent Vietnamese authorities, in the form your customs office asks for. Tell us the destination and the incoterm at the quotation stage and we will list exactly which documents your entry will need and which of them carry an official fee.
Need a copy?
We send the full set as PDFs with any serious enquiry, and we can have documents legalised for your market on request. Ask us for the document pack, or read more about where the leaf is grown and how the factory is laid out and who we are. If you would rather check for yourself, come and see the place.
