Teas from blocks farmed to the TRAVINA 6 Không rules: no chemicals, no pesticides, no chemical fertiliser, no colouring, no bleaching, no preservatives. Green, black, oolong and white from Thai Nguyen.
What "6 Không" actually means
TRAVINA's 6 Không pledge is a production commitment we make to every household in the cooperative, not a third-party organic certificate. When our farmers work a 6 Không block, they commit to six things at once:
- No chemicals
- No pesticides
- No chemical fertiliser
- No colouring or dye
- No bleaching
- No preservatives
Every leaf here is hand-picked from cooperative-member gardens in Thai Nguyen and finished at our own facilities nothing is bought in from outside growers. 6 Không is stricter in one sense than organic certification (which allows a defined list of approved inputs) and looser in another (we have not yet completed third-party organic audit and certification, so we do not use the word "organic" on this page). What we can stand behind is what actually happens on these particular blocks, batch by batch.
